Fourth grade students will be tested in areas of ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies.  Fifth grade students will be tested in the areas of ELA and mathematics. Below you will find information regarding our testing window:

  • Testing window for in person students will begin Monday, April 26 and close Friday, May 14.
  • Virtual students testing window will begin Monday, April 19. Virtual students need to arrange to come to school for testing. The available dates and times: 8:45 AM - 11:00 AM, on  April, 19, April 20, April 21, April 22. Virtual students will need to be transported to school by parents/guardians.

Attached to this email is an Informational Brochure for Families which gives more information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used.  The Forward Exam assessment measures the knowledge and skills your child should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can. As you know, breakfast and adequate rest is essential to ensure your student(s) best performance on the test. The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations to best support your child and his/her educational needs moving forward.
