Watch the above video to learn about Lake Geneva Schools and why we’re embarking on a Long-Range Facilities Master Plan to prioritize our future investments wisely.

Five-Year Strategic Plan

During the 2022-2023 school year, Lake Geneva Schools stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, Boards of Education, and community members, collaborated to develop a comprehensive Five-Year Strategic Plan for the District. This plan outlines our commitment to ensuring the success of every student.

Premier Campuses and Sustainable Stewardship

One objective within our Strategic Plan is to "develop and support premier campuses to increase district appeal while demonstrating sustainable and responsible stewardship of financial and operational resources." However, historically, Lake Geneva Schools has not had a formal Long-Range Facilities Plan to support this objective.

Our Partnership for Excellence

Lake Geneva Schools has partnered with three trusted industry leaders, Cadence Consulting, GROTH Design Group, and CG Schmidt, to facilitate a comprehensive, long-range master planning process. This strategic partnership brings together expertise in stakeholder engagement, educational design, and construction, ensuring that our plans align with our commitment to excellence and the vision for our communities.

Facility Assessment and Priorities

As a first step, the GROTH Design Group conducted interviews and walkthroughs at each school site to identify educational shortcomings, space needs, and capital maintenance items. Although our district buildings have been consistently well-maintained, our priorities revolve around infrastructure and safety, educational adequacy, and fiscal responsibility. Once the construction manager, CG Schmidt, was engaged, they toured the interior and exterior of all buildings and confirmed and prioritized maintenance items.

Long-Range Facilities Master Plan

The findings of the facilities assessment have been meticulously compiled into a comprehensive long-range facilities master plan. This plan encompasses capital maintenance items, safety and security enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, effective and efficient operational strategies, improvements in the learning environment, and increased opportunities to engage with our students, staff, families, and community.

Community Survey

Community members have a voice in shaping the future of our schools. To gather your input and insights, we conducted a community survey in November 2023. We partnered with School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the survey and ensure all responses were kept confidential.
Thank you for taking our survey. Facilities planning is not possible without your input. Your feedback will play a vital role in shaping the direction of our long-range master planning efforts.
